From June 27 to July 29, 2016, EFSEC conducted adjudicative hearing, which is a formal hearing process similar to a courtroom with each side making its arguments for or against the terminal. EFSEC conducted the adjudicative proceeding, presided by an administrative law judge, to allow Vancouver Energy as the energy project applicant, the Port of Vancouver USA and opponents to present information to support their cases. EFSEC will use the testimony and exhibits presented as part of the record for its project recommendation to Governor Jay Inslee.

More than 20 experts covering topics that included engineering, economics, marine science, rail safety and logistics testified in favor of the project. To read more about their testimonies, visit our blog.
